ABOUT SCOTT SIEGEL
PRODUCER: Scott has produced approximately 400 major Broadway-style concerts in New York and around the world.
For The Town Hall, he is the creator/writer/director/host of the critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series (20th Anniversary Season begins in Feb., 2020), plus Town Hall’s Summer Broadway Festival (seven years) and The Broadway/Cabaret Festival (eight years), and Broadway’s Rising Stars (13 years, so far).
He also created The Siegel Season at Town Hall that included Broadway Unplugged (14 years), The Nightlife Awards (13 years), and two years of producing The Best of Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Town Hall.
Outside of Town Hall, he was the writer/producer of the 20th and 21st Annual Lauri Strauss Leukemia Foundation Gala Concerts at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and for two years he was the Supervising Producer, Writer, and Director of seven concerts for Michael Feinstein in the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
He is also the creator/producer of the musical revue,"11 O'Clock Numbers at 11 O'Clock” at Feinstein's at the Regency, and its sequel, "11 O'Clock Numbers" at Feinstein's/54 Below. He is also the creator of “The Broadway Ballyhoo,” as well as upwards of 100 tribute shows honoring Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf, Elvis Presley, Sonny & Cher, The Beatles, Phil Ochs, and more . Also at Feinstein's/54 Below, Scott has developed several long-running series, including 54 Sings Broadway’s Greatest Hits (currently booked through 70 editions).
In addition, Scott has created critically acclaimed nightclub acts for singular performers. For Carole J. Bufford he has created two shows, “Body and Soul” and “Shades of Blue.” Scott has also created two hit shows for Jillian Louis at 54 Below titled “The Agony & The Ecstasy” and “You Don’t Know Me.” Scott created and/or directed four shows for Maxine Linehan: “An American Journey,” “Beautiful Songs,” U2 Tribute Show,” and a show devoted to Petula Clark that was performed under Scott’s direction as a one woman show with a 15 piece orchestra at Theater du Chatelet in Paris in front of 2,500 people.
AUTHOR: (with his wife, Barbara) Scott is the author of 48 published books by 17 different major publishing houses. Among the more prominent titles: The Encyclopedia of Hollywood, First and Second Editions (Facts on File), American Film Comedy (Macmillan), many celebrity biographies (Jack Nicholson, Richard Chamberlain, Jim Carrey, etc. published by St. Martin’s Press, and others). Also novels, The Warhunter Series (Zebra Books) The Companion (Bantam), The Firebrats Series (Archway at Simon & Schuster), etc.
